Nope! All you need is your VR headset and a device for editing (phone, tablet, or computer). We'll show you how to use your headset's built-in recording features and free editing software to create professional-quality content. The course covers Quest, SteamVR, and other major platforms in the future. As you grow, we'll cover upgrade paths—but they're completely optional.

VR Content Lab received some funding support from the Meta Quest Creator Program (MQCP) to help develop quality VR creator education. This funding helped us with editing and startup costs to help keep the course affordable for students. The course is independently created and taught by AtomBombBody. Meta invested in supporting creator education, but doesn't control the curriculum or content.
-
Absolutely! This course starts with complete beginner fundamentals—from basic Quest recording setup to your first edited video. It's designed specifically for creators who are just starting out or struggling with VR-specific technical challenges. You'll get step-by-step guidance and community support every step of the way.
-
Depends on one thing: are you growing the way you want to be?
Most creators who come in with experience are already past the "how do I record this" stage. What they're missing is the strategy layer, why some content builds an audience and some doesn't, how to turn views into actual opportunities, and how to keep creating without burning out.
If you're posting consistently and it feels like you're spinning your wheels, that's exactly what this course is built for.

I started streaming VR to literally zero people. My husband sat in my chat for months just so I wouldn't be alone.
I kept going anyway, mostly making tutorials because I couldn't figure this stuff out either and assumed other people had the same problem. Turns out they did. That content eventually got me hired as a Product Marketing Manager at LIV, a VR capture company, where I spent 5+ years working with data from over 112 million VR recordings.
I'm now one of roughly 100 creators worldwide in the Meta Quest Creator Program, I've spoken at VR conferences, and I've created content directly with some of the biggest games in the space - including Gorilla Tag. None of that came from going viral. It came from showing up consistently and actually being useful. That's what this course teaches!
