VR Content Lab Launches January 20th: Here's Everything You Need to Know
After months of planning scripts, organizing content, recording, re-recording, and figuring out exactly what to say and how to say it, I can finally announce: VR Content Lab launches Tuesday, January 20th.
Early bird pricing is $37 for two weeks (until February 2nd). After that, it's $57. No payment plans yet, no complicated tiers—just the course, the community, and the resources you need to actually build something in VR content creation.
So what's actually in the course, who it's for, and is it "worth it" if you're just starting out?
What You're Actually Getting
VR Content Lab is about five hours of video content split across five modules. I know that doesn't sound like much compared to those 40-hour course marathons, but I cut everything that felt like filler. No fluff about "finding your why" or generic social media advice you can Google. Just the stuff that actually matters for VR creators specifically.
Module 1 covers the foundation—why you don't need a massive following to get opportunities, how to figure out what kind of creator you actually want to be, and what success looks like when you're not chasing viral moments.
Module 2 is the technical setup. Recording on Quest standalone, PCVR recording, livestreaming with chat integration—all the stuff I wish someone had explained to me five years ago when I was trying to figure out why my OBS kept crashing.
Module 3 is content strategy. The Hero/Hub/Help framework, cross-platform creation without burning out, and why TikTok and Youtube works so well for VR content while Instagram is... let's say challenging.
Module 4 gets into monetization. Brand partnerships, protecting your business, revenue streams that aren't just "hope someone sponsors me." Honest talk about timelines too—because spoiler: most people don't make meaningful income in the first few months.
Module 5 is about not burning out. Creator mental health, physical health when you're wearing a headset for hours, and building something that lasts longer than your first viral video.
You also get worksheets for each module (Hero/Hub/Help content planners, 30-day calendars, time blocking templates), access to the Discord community, and any bonus content I add later. Once you're in, you're in—lifetime access, no recurring fees.
Who This Is Actually For
I built this for people who own a VR headset and want to do more than just play games. Quest, PCVR, whatever you've got works. (PSVR2-specific recording tips are coming in a near-future update.)
Maybe you've been thinking about streaming, or you've posted a few videos that got decent views, or you just want to figure out if there's an actual path here that doesn't require quitting your job and going all-in.
This works if you're still in high school and figuring things out. It works if you're working full-time and can only create on weekends. It works if you have zero followers right now—I started streaming to empty chat rooms for months, and my husband was literally the only person watching most nights.
What it won't do is promise you'll make thousands of dollars in your first month, or that you'll go viral if you just follow the secret formula. There is no secret formula. There's strategy, consistency, problem-solving, and a lot of trial and error.
If you're looking for "10 tricks to get famous fast," this probably isn't your thing. If you want to understand how VR content actually works and build something sustainable, then yeah, this is for you.
"I have zero followers. Is this too advanced for me?"
No. Actually, you're in a better position than people who've already built an audience doing things that don't work. You get to start on the right foot instead of trying to fix bad habits later.
I spent years making content before I understood why certain things worked. You're getting that understanding upfront.
"Do I need a PC or can I use Quest standalone?"
Both work. Module 2 covers Quest standalone recording in detail because that's what most people have. If you've got a PC, there's a whole section on PCVR recording too. You don't need expensive equipment to get started.
"I don't want to be a full-time creator. Is this still worth it?"
Absolutely. Most of the people I know making money from VR content have other jobs. This isn't about quitting everything and betting your life on influencer money. It's about building an income supplement, getting cool opportunities, and maybe opening doors you didn't know existed.
I initially got my job at LIV because I was creating VR tutorials on YouTube. I got into the Meta Quest Creator Program with 8K YouTube subscribers. The opportunities came from being helpful and strategic, not from having a million followers.
"What if I'm not comfortable showing my face or being on camera?"
Then don't. Plenty of successful VR creators never show their face. Some use avatars (vtubers), some never take off the headset, some just do voiceover on gameplay, some focus entirely on community building in Discord. There's no single "right way" to do this.
"How long will it take me to complete the course?"
The videos are about five hours total, so you could technically watch everything in a day. But you'll get more out of it if you actually implement things as you go—complete the worksheets, test the recording setups, plan your content strategy before moving to the next module. Lifetime access means you can go at whatever pace makes sense for you.
"What format are the course videos?"
The course features horizontal, long-form videos (5-16 minutes each) that give you in-depth, step-by-step guidance. These aren't quick TikTok-style tips—they're comprehensive lessons designed to actually teach you the skills. Each module is split into 3-6 focused videos, so you can learn at your own pace without feeling overwhelmed.
"What's included in each module?"
Every module includes video lessons plus downloadable worksheets and templates to help you implement what you learn. Here's the breakdown:
Module 1: Creator Foundation - Identify your creator type (Helper/Entertainer/Community Builder) and learn how to build an audience authentically
Module 2: Technical Mastery - Quest recording, PCVR setup, VR livestreaming, and proper audio/video configuration across all major platforms
Module 3: Content Strategy - The Hero/Hub/Help framework and platform-specific optimization for TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and more
Module 4: Monetization & Brand Partnerships - Protect your creator business, develop revenue streams (affiliates, sponsorships, platform monetization), and build professional media kits
Module 5: Sustainable Creator Lifestyle - Address creator mental health, VR-specific physical health, and burnout prevention
Total course time is approximately 5 hours of video content, with lifetime access to all future updates.
“Is this a one-time payment or subscription?”
One-time payment, lifetime access. No monthly fees. You'll also get free access to all future course updates and bonus modules I add. Once you're in, you're in for good.
"Will this teach me how to edit videos?"
Not really. I show you the recording process and some basic editing principles, but this isn't a "learn DaVinci Resolve from scratch" course. If you need editing help, there are better resources for that specific skill.
What this does teach you is what content to create in the first place, how to record it properly in VR, and what to do with it once it's made. The editing is just the middle step.
"What's your refund policy?"
You've got 30 days to go through the course and decide if it's working for you. If it's not, just email me and I'll refund you. No weird hoops to jump through.
I'll be honest though—building an audience and experimenting with content takes time. You probably won't see immediate results within 30 days anyway. This is about learning the strategy and putting in the work, not quick wins.
"Can I really make money from this?"
Can you? Yes. Will you? Depends entirely on how much work you put in and how long you stick with it. I've seen people land their first sponsored video within three months. I've also seen people take over a year to get their first paid opportunity.
The timeline is different for everyone, and anyone promising you'll hit specific income goals by a certain date is lying to you. What I can tell you is that the VR content space is way less saturated than traditional gaming content, so if you're smart and consistent, you've got a real shot.
"Why should I trust you?"
Fair question. I spent five years at LIV as their Product Marketing Manager, working directly with VR content creators and the platforms they use. I've been creating VR content for nine years, built multiple revenue streams without a massive following, and got selected for the Meta Quest Creator Program.
I'm not some guru who made money once and now just teaches courses. I'm actively creating content, working with brands, and learning what works in 2026. This course is literally everything I wish I knew when I started.
What Happens on January 20th
On Tuesday, January 20th, VR Content Lab goes live. Early bird pricing ($37) runs until February 2nd at midnight. After that, it goes to $57.
If you're on the email list, you'll get a notification when it's live. If you're not, the course page will be available either way—just keep an eye on my socials.
Once you enroll, you get immediate access to everything. No waiting periods, no drip content. Just log in and start.
One Last Thing
I'm genuinely nervous about this launch. I've been working on VR Content Lab since last year, and there's this weird feeling of finally putting it out there after months of "it's almost ready."
Me rn
But I also know this is the course I needed five years ago when I was streaming to zero viewers and had no idea if any of this would lead anywhere. It did—not because I went viral, but because I learned how to be strategic, solve real problems, and build something people actually cared about.
If you're wondering whether you can do this, the answer is probably yes. It just takes longer than you think and requires more strategy than you'd expect.
See you on January 20th.
